In their Preseason Week 2 matchup on Thursday night, the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots exchanged punts on their initial drives.
Then, a 15-yard return by Jalen Reagor positioned the Patriots at the Eagles' 39-yard line.
Quarterback Jacoby Brissett guided the Patriots to the Eagles' 8-yard line. On 3rd-and-3, Brissett dropped back to pass and launched a throw into the end zone. Eagles safety Avonte Maddox intercepted the pass, then raced to the Eagles' 47-yard line before being pushed out of bounds.
The Eagles took possession after the impressive return.
Maddox, who is competing for a spot on the roster and playing multiple positions such as cornerback, nickel, and safety, solidified his case with this play.
The Eagles are leading the Patriots 3-0 in the first quarter.
